WHEN JOE and Leslie Concilla launched their business in 2005, they never expected the San Francisco-based company to evolve into a design industry staple. Fourteen years later, Da Vinci Marble has established itself as an innovative leader, procuring sought-after marble slabs and tiles from all over the world.

Now, with more than 50 employees including Joe and Leslie’s son, helping to realize the Concillas’ original dream of success, Da Vinci Marble spans eight buildings in San Carlos. Filled to the brim with a broad selection of slabs, tiles, decorative mosaics and complementary materials, they serve clients throughout the western United States. In addition to the dozens of dedicated experts providing stellar customer service, Nasser Al-Robaidi, otherwise known as the “Stone Master,” has joined forces with the Concillas, bringing nearly 30 years of experience to the team as well as a keen sense for seeking out the very best and most unique materials in the world.

Italy is the main sourcing destination for the purchasing team, which travels to the Mediterranean design hub several times each year, often residing there for extended periods of time to size up everything from recently unearthed Calacatta to pristine Carrara. All slabs are hand-selected with structural integrity, quality, beauty, size and balance in mind, and cut-to-size projects are managed with the same care and attention to detail.
