Known for his vibrant designs, Dunham is a master at mixing prints, colors, materials and accessories. The showroom, located in the La Cienega Design Quarter, houses a sundry collection of art, ceramics, lighting, pillows, furniture and much more.
–What are you doing to keep you and your team positive during this time? Right before the stay-at-home order, I created big stacks of design books from my library for each person in my office. Inspiration will always be a way to stay positive. And regular Slack and Zoom meetings help us feel connected.
-What has been your go-to recipe during isolation? I’m still finding fresh produce from various farmer’s market drop-offs. One of my go-to’s, especially in Springtime, is risotto with a seasonal vegetable. It’s fresh and aromatic, but in fact total comfort food.
-Favorite artist or playlist you keep playing? During the day, I have classical on repeat. It’s calming – something we all need right now!
-Any new shows you recommend people watch right now? I’ve been playing reruns of 30 Rock. We all need a good laugh during these times.
-How is Hollywood at Home working with designers right now to help fulfill orders while they are working from home? We are so grateful for all the designers who continue to reach out with orders, quotes and questions. We are able to do just about everything except actually ship product – and even that has its exceptions with some vendors operating under different circumstances than others. The hand-woven Avenida bedcover is an oversized blanket, perfect to cover a king bed. It’s new to the shop, although we’ve had it in different colors over the years, we just developed this indigo version and received just a few weeks before the madness.
Support local artisans with the purchase of a Natan Moss Lamp. We have a robust lamp collection with Natan, where designers can spec out a shape and glaze to make it their own. We also always have many in the showroom for grab and go.
Framed in classic white, the Virginia Johnson x Hollywood at Home limited edition prints feature abstract homages to the flora of California that brighten up a room instantly.
