Fall Preview: Palm Springs Modernism
Author:Lindsey ShookFinally, some of the most exciting events are returning post-pandemic including the highly-anticipated Palm Springs Modernism Week fall preview, opening tomorrow and running through the weekend. From guided tours of the desert’s most significant homes, to in-depth talks on mid-century design and the annual Modernism Sale, it’s a great reason to head to the desert for a little fun and sun. Here are a few of our must-attend events:
Palm Springs Modernism Show and Sale
The 7th annual Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale—Fall Edition, held during Modernism Week’s Fall Preview, will feature two new events for attendees. Presenting Sponsor Engaged Media, LLC will offer a book signing of their newest book, Atomic Ranch: Remodeled Marvels and exhibitor George Billis Gallery will offer a chance to meet artist Danny Heller, whose works will be on display in the galley’s booth. The Show & Sale, which runs October 15-17, will be held in Oasis 4 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, located at 277 North Avenida Caballeros in Palm Springs, California, and is a more intimate version of the annual Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale held in February.

Frank Sinatra’s “Twin Palms” Estate Tour – The Palm Springs Preservation Foundation will host a tour of Frank Sinatra’s storied “Twin Palms” estate, designed by modernist architect E. Stewart Williams in 1947.
