The Return of the Legends
Author:Lindsey ShookFinally, the annual Legends of LCDQ design festival is officially returning on May 3-5, with a focus on CALIFORNIA: The Golden State of Design. Forty LCDQ member showrooms, nine of the top national design magazines and hundreds of attendees will gather once again to gaze at new collections, discuss the current state of design and simply celebrate being together! TUESDAY, May 3
OPENING CELEBRATION – 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Gracias Madre; 8905 Melrose Ave. Standing gracefully on Melrose Ave, Gracias Madre, once an antiques showroom, was brought to life by LA designer Wendy Haworth, who infused the decor with Mexican tile and motifs, and landscape designer Scott Schrader, who transformed the parking lot into a chic outdoor patio lined with olive trees and 2 fireplaces.
SIA DISCO! – 7:30-11:30pm AT Nightingale; 643 N La Cienega Blvd Join Save Iconic Architecture for the SIA Disco and the legendary L.A. night club Nightingale. Dance to 70’s and 80’s music, enjoy delectable bites outdoors and celebrate design for a good cause.
WEDNESDAY, May 4
KEYNOTE – CALIFORNIA GIRLS – 11:00 AM at Harbinger; 752 N. La Cienega Blvd.
From creating fabric to furniture, wallpaper, suitcases and beyond, these Golden State girls have changed the design landscape for future generations to come. See what inspired these California creatives and what tools have helped make them a success along the way.

The showroom will be abuzz with designers of Mehraban’s various rug collections waiting to meet their fans.
