Drive down to the desert next week for a special opening in honor of artist Brigit Piskor at Scout on April 22. The newest addition to Cathedral City’s Perez Art & Design District, SCOUT Art + Home was created by the owners of the renowned San Francisco-based HEWN showroom. The 3,000-square-foot retail concept features a selective collection of new and pre-loved furnishings, fine art and accessories sourced from trade-only resources and top California interior designers.

Curated in collaboration with James Bacchi Contemporary, the show will feature works by Piskor including paintings and a selection of her indoor-outdoor sculptures that are inspired by the transformative power of concrete and its ability to “fulfill both the mundane requirements of civil engineers and the sublime vision of artists.”

Born in Calw, a small town situated in the Black Forest region of Germany, the self-taught artist is widely respected for her ability to transform concrete from an industrial material into smooth, fluid forms that stand out in any setting.
