Save the Date: LA Design Week/end
Author:Lindsey ShookIt’s our favorite time of year when artists, designers and enthusiasts alike flock to Downtown and the East Side of L.A. to discover new work and new artists during the super-cool, progressive crawl known as LA Design Week/end. Running September 30-October 4, the weekend-long celebration is organized into 15 neighborhoods for participants to explore individual studios, shops and installations.
Since launching in 2024, the community-focused festival has expanded from 46 locations to 120 new hosts and over 12,000 guests in 2025. “LA Design Week/end is built around seeing design in context,” says Holland Denvir, Founder of LAD/W. “People move through the city, enter spaces they might not otherwise see and meet the designers behind the work. The format creates room for discovery, conversation and actual connection.”
This year, the dynamic line-up of programming kicks-off on September 29 with a press and VIP preview, followed by an exclusive opening celebration at the Haas Brothers studio. The next evening, on September 30th, Design Hotels and Proper Hotels will be hosting a cocktail & live DJ set with Daisy O’Dell at Cara Cara Rooftop at the Downtown LA Proper Hotel. LA-based non-profit radio station dublab is an integral partner this year, delivering a range of DJ sets, musical performances and sound-driven experiences set to enhance the overall creative feeling at each stop.
