On April 27, Harmon Guest House in Healdsburg debuted a new sculptural art installation by Sonoma-based artist Manok Cohen as part of its ongoing rotating art exhibit program supporting local artists. The exhibit entitled, Beginnings (running through August 2025) features a commissioned wall painting and floating sculptural forms made from Cohen’s signature colored cable ties, with additional woven works displayed in the hotel lobby.

Born in Laos and raised in France, Cohen’s background and multidimensional experience in textile arts and fashion have influenced her current nature-inspired creations. Now she splits her time between Healdsburg and Sea Ranch, where she is inspired to apply mixed media and weaving techniques into her contemporary work, creating pieces rich in texture and personal narrative.

Harmon Guest House celebrated the installation with a public rooftop event featuring a meet-and-greet with the artist, a hands-on community art activity, and complimentary rosé tasting. Since opening in 2018, the eco-conscious hotel has championed local art through permanent and rotating exhibits that reflect California’s cultural and natural landscape, enhancing its role as a vibrant, artistic destination in wine country.
