Cornell—who is concurrently the acting director of the Dallas Art Fair—has set the fair’s curatorial vision of presenting leading international and U.S. based galleries alongside specially curated projects and creating opportunities for new dialogue between collectors, institutions, and artists through salon-style conversations, private collection visits, site-specific activations, and programming in partnership with Aspen’s world-class cultural organizations. “The Aspen Art Fair has quickly established itself as one of the most compelling boutique art fairs in the country,” said Cornell. “Its unparalleled setting, scale, and emphasis on meaningful and intimate engagement make it truly unique. I’m excited to build on the strong foundation that has been created and to guide its exciting evolution.”

In addition to the dynamic presentation of collections from around the globe, the team has developed an enriching line-up of programming including a discussion our team is hosting with prolific California architectural designer Scott Mitchell of Scott Mitchell Studio and notable contemporary Palm Spring-based artist Phillip K. Smith III. The panel will focus on how art and architecture respond to landscapes found in California and Colorado, and will be followed by a cocktail reception at the Hotel Jerome. Each talk is open exclusively to fair ticket holders. For more information on the fair’s schedule, galleries, art prizes and to purchase tickets, visit the official site.
