Out on the Town: SoCal Neo Classicists 2019 Kick-Off

The Southern California Neo Classicists, a committee of the Institute for Classical Art and Architecture, is dedicated to connecting emerging professionals who share the common focus in classical architecture, art, building, and design. Since the Neo’s inception, the group has frequented The Culver Hotel and in the last few years, their informal gatherings have grown, and it is now one of their most popular annual events. This year’s mixer catered to over 100 attendees in the architecture and design community and is the Neo Classicists first of four events of the year.

Guests enjoyed passed hors-d’oeuvres and libations in the Velvet Lounge before receiving two tours by Maya Mallick, owner of The Culver Hotel.  The exclusive tour for ICAA Neo Classicists included viewing the bedrooms–where Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, The Munchins and Ronald Reagan all stayed once upon a time. Guests also enjoyed the behind the scene scoop and tour of the Grand Lobby, The Crystal Dining Room, and a favorite among the guests, Harry Culver’s office, equipped with a secret passageway for quick getaways.
