Out on the Town: SoCal Neo Classicists Dish Over Hardware

Author:

Guests began their evening in Neo Classicists style with an engaging mixer to connect and unwind with complimentary hors-d’oeuvres before walking to Liz’s Antique Hardware and The Loft at Liz’s.

Transformed into a new era, guests enjoyed viewing a vast selection of door, window, and furniture hardware, lighting and accessories dating from circa 1860 to contemporary hardware manufactured today. After a brief discussion on how Liz began her one-of-a-kind enterprise, guests ventured upstairs to Liz’s Loft, a gallery space for both emerging and established artists, designers and artisans. To end the evening, Liz enlightened the group with a discussion on saving and repurposing salvage from remodel and demolition projects entitled, “Salvaging the Past.”

A special thanks to the sponsors who made this event possible: Millwork by Design, Paradise Theater, PLP SoCal, Lutron, Western Lighting & Energy Controls and Lumenwerx. And our host: Liz’s Antique Hardware and Villa de Romani for contributing furniture for the event.

The mission of the Neo Classicists and their parent company, ICAA, is to advance the appreciation and practice of the principles of traditional architecture and its allied arts by engaging educators, professionals, students, and enthusiasts. Learn how to participate in the next event by visiting http://classicist-socal.org/membership Instagram: @socalneoclassicists
