WestEdge Returns To The Barker Hanger
Author:Abigail StoneMark your calendars! The 7th Annual WestEdge Design Fair, which presents the latest and greatest products ranging from furniture and lighting to kitchen and bath, kicks off October 24-27 at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.
“Heading into the seventh year of WestEdge Design Fair, we couldn’t be more proud to highlight the array of exhibitors and programming representing the best in modern design today,” says Troy Hanson, the event’s co-founder. “Los Angeles has become an incredibly important epicenter for so many industries, including design, architecture, art, food/beverage, and fashion among others. We are excited to continue to showcase the originality of the city by bringing together world-class design through collaboration with the most renowned and emerging design professionals.”
Adds Megan Riley, the event’s co-founder, ““We’re thrilled to see the excitement for the Fair reflected through the growth of both new exhibitors and programming partners, as well as the return of some favorite exhibits.”
Some of the exciting brands being spotlighted include Studio Ford, a textile brand that celebrates the timeless art of traditional India block printing; Art Hide, a luxury cowhide leather brand offering unique floor rugs, and its sister brand, Amigos de Hoy, which just launched a new customizable rug line called Ground Control; Looma Studios, which produces handmade, made-to-order artwork and furniture; Looma Studios, which produces handmade, made-to-order artwork and furniture; and, Timothy J. Ferrie, which involves customers in the design process of items of their compelling lights.
This year, two well known brands, Lamps Plus and Living Spaces, are aligning themselves with the fair. Lamps Plus is a design fair sponsor while Living Spaces will be ruling the fair’s popular outdoor lounge area. For the kitchen-minded, Signature Kitchen Suite is the sponsor of this year’s Culinary Pavilion whose focus for 2019 is on sous-vide cooking. A bourbon and food pairing with Woodford Reserve and a day of Italian food and wine, presented by the Italy America Chamber of Commerce, round out an appealing four days.
