The 2020 Editorial Holiday Gift Guide

Author:

While I am personally ready to see 2020 behind us, I am beyond thrilled that the holidays have arrived. It’s my favorite time of year because we all slow down, send less email and shower those we love with thoughtful gifts. Here are just a few finds I think are perfect to give this holiday season.

-I love any accessory by Tom Dixon, and fell quickly for the Swirl Black and White Candelabra that features a unique stack of geometric shapes, made of stone.

-The Tresse Pitcher by Jean Roger for the Invisible Collection is both artistic and cool, and doubles as the perfect styling accessory or conversation piece once dinner parties can resume.

-Stash in style with the Storage case made of vibrant colorblocked acrylic by Edie Parker.

-A major part of my daily self-care routine is depuffing with a face roller, and I am loving these colorful rollers made of Blue Spot Jasper, Yellow Xiuyan & Rose Quartz by Slowdown Studio.

-I burn through candles faster than most, so I am loving Siblings’ candle packs that allow you to easily make new candles within old vessels. This season I am sending the Winter Scent to many friends!

-Ceramics are a great gift to give especially when they are made by one of my favorite artists Malene Barnett, including pieces like the King Man vase.

-You can never go wrong with gifting a warm, cozy and cool throw. I am in love with the Palermo Cashmere blanket by Nzuri, made of Grade A Mongolian cashmere.

-If you know me, you know I am a fragrance geek. And it has taken me years to find the perfect candle but luckily I discovered my all time favorite, while shopping at Saint Claude Social Club in New Orleans. Music Studio by Lola James Harper breathes touches a rose, musk and cashmeran into any space.

-One of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow is Hood Century. Led by Jerald Cooper, it is a preservation society and editorial channel that visually celebrates the connection between mid-century architecture and Black culture and much more. It is no secret I have a strong passion for architectural preservation, mid-century design and all around dopeness, so I am supporting their efforts by gifting a set of their HOOD CENTURY: 16 Modern Architecture Style Flashcards.
