Elements of Design: The PDC Fall Market is Back

After two years of hosting a virtual conference, the PDC is opening their door to explore the beautifully curated showrooms in celebration of the annual fall market. From discovering new and noteworthy product to learning from the dynamic designer discussions and reconnecting with friends and colleagues, the day will be informative and fun.

The day will being at the PDC’s newest showroom, Arsin Rug Gallery, where guests can grab breakfast before visiting over 50 events including thirty open houses. Next guests can head over to Mimi London where California Home+Design’s Editorial Director Lindsey Shook will hold an informative conversation with women leaders in the design industry about how they excelled their career path and established successful businesses.

Panelists Gulla Jonsdottir, Principal of Gulla Jonsdottir Design; Holly Freres, Principal of JHL Design Inc; Sue Firestone, Founder of SFA design/sue firestone collection, and Rydhima Brar, Principal of R/terior Studio will discuss how to lead a team and adapt with the mercurial landscape of today, key elements that keep business thriving and innovative—along with concrete examples, creative solutions and musings within hospitality and residential design space. 

Keep Summer going with 11 Ravens’ Hamptons-themed party following their compelling holistic design panel at Sutherland showroom. Then around noon head over to Summit Furniture to experience a lively and honest discussion with renowned interior designers and tastemakers who will share their “secrets” to creating signature style for local and global clientele. Moderated by California Home+Design’s Editorial Director Lindsey Shook, the distinguished panelists include: Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield’s, Ryan Saghian of Ryan Saghian Interior Design, Nicole Gordon of Nicole Gordon Studio, and Ryan White of Ryan White Designs & co-founder of Vast Studio. The panel discussion will be followed by a book signing of Unapologetically Chic by Ryan Saghian.  Light lunch bites and refreshments will be served.

End the evening at Thomas Lavin for a toast during one of his epic evening receptions and visit the PDC Design Gallery (former MOCA space) for an evening wine reception celebrating DOMUS: Patterns of Living and artist Elena Manferdini, all while enjoying live music from Steinway & Sons Spirio, the world’s finest high resolution player piano. Wind down in the SilverScreen theater which will be home to not only the two keynote events but also PDC’s first architectural movie night and cocktail hour where Save Iconic Architecture will feature Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman followed by a discussion led by California Home+Design Editorial Director Lindsey Shook with SIA founders Jaime Rummerfield and Ron Woodson and celebrity real estate star, Josh Flagg.
