Out on the Town: A Taste of Art at The Luxury KitchenAuthor:Lindsey Shook
Last week, guests joined the California Home+Design team at Sub-Zero’s new showroom on La Cienega—The Luxury Kitchen in celebration of the showroom opening and pop-up gallery curated by Source Art, an art consultancy group that has carefully selected work from emerging and mid-career L.A.-based artists. The event featured an exclusive piece by Russell Young—an American-British Pop artist known for his large-scale silkscreen paintings of cultural icons—created in collaboration with fellow iconic photographer Mick Rock featuring the legend David Bowie. The sale of the work will benefit The Art of Elysium, a charity that utilizes arts-based programming to connect and support individuals affected by illness, hospitalization, displacement, confinement, and/or crisis. The auction for this exciting piece is live HERE.
Located in the heart of the La Cienega Design Quarter, The Luxury Kitchen is a unique concept to the kitchen industry that gives the design trade access to concierge level service when planning and purchasing any of the innovative collections of state of the art appliances. With over 90 selections on display from Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove, designers and their clients can envision how each piece will look in their own kitchen due to the beautiful, custom vignettes.
Throughout the gallery Source Art placed unique works by other L.A.-based artists including Daniel Canogar, Rob Grad, Mei Xian Qiu, Bruce Dean, Beverly Morrison, Tanner Goldbeck, Fatemeh Burnes, Stephanie Bachiero, Natalya Sevastyanova, Plastic Jesus, Karen Sikie, Laura Letchinger and Margaret Lazzari.
To shop the Source Art pop-up gallery visit: The Luxury Kitchen located at 540 N La Cienega Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90048.
