Author:Lindsey ShookIn collaboration with art consultancy and gallery network Art Solutions, House of Honey launches their second annual artist residency at their Montecito, California studio featuring the work of artist, photographer, and filmmaker Iness Rychlik

With studios in L.A. and Montecito, House of Honey is a highly renowned all-female led design firm that is known for incorporating female artists and businesses into every aspect of their work. In 2024 they started the artist in residency program at their Montecito studio, highlighting the work of five female artists. Now in its second iteration, the collective is showcasing the work of Polish-born artist, photographer, and filmmaker Iness Rychlik. The House of Honey team was drawn to Rychlik’s work because she uses the medium of self-portrait photography to share a very vulnerable and beautiful perspective of a rare skin condition that affects her. Each piece is extremely impactful, thought provoking and emotional.

“We are thrilled to honor the work of artist Iness Rychlik for our second Artist’s Residency program,” said Tamara Honey, Founder and Creative Director of House of Honey. “We have partnered with Art Solutions, a leading gallery network in Los Angeles spotlighting emerging and groundbreaking artists. Iness’s photographs explore powerful themes including pain and brutality juxtaposed with feminism and self-reflection. Iness is an artistic innovator, and truly an inspiring and creative visionary.”

Rychlik’s photographs will be on display at House of Honey’s Montecito studio through May, which will be open by appointment Monday through Friday, from 10:00am to 6:00pm. For more information on the gallery and artists, please visit—House of Honey.
